I was talking to a friend of mine who was saying that there was a book that had some plans and ideas for building large stage props all out of cardboard. One of the examples that she gave was making people appear from out of a cardboard box. However, she couldn't remember what it was called or who the author was. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Do you know what the book is called or who the author is?

Grant's Victory Carton Illusions, also Bodies in Orbit. Paul Osborne has a new book out also with props that can be made the same way.

Gary Darwin's book on inexpensive illusions is great, and video as well. Easy to perform illusions some requiring a special stage setting. Andrew Mayne has some easy to build, and inexpensive to build illusion plans out. Pocket Sawing, Face Lifter, Bisection. http://www.weirdthings.com Highly recommended.
