I was at a party store the other day and saw a littl tiny top hat that was like the size for a hamster and it was only 79 cents. I then came up with the idea of messing up on a trick then saying somthing like, "That's why it didn't work, I forgot my top hat." Then pull the little thing out of a bag and put it on. I would them give it to the spectator helping me with that trick as a suvineer.
Any thoughts on this idea? Any thing that might make it a little more funny?

You could mention that you pulled it out of a rabbit...

I actually found the image of a hamster in a top hat a lot funnier than the gag.

"It's actually a normal-sized hat, my head is just huge"

"I don't have much up top"

"I said to my girlfriend I wouldn't mind a little head...she said you'll need this then"

"It looked a lot bigger in the catalogue"

"Would you like to see the worlds smallest invisible magician?" Hold hat 4 inches above palm of hand. (Can follow up with variation of old gag, tickle his chin, actually he's holding his hat by his waist)

Make it appear three times for a hatrick.

Pull rabbit sponges/silks from it (load with TT?)

In the craft stores, in the doll sections, you can often find top hats of different sizes, so you could make your tiny top hat grow in stages until it grows big enough to produce a rabbit... or a toy rabbit with another tiny top hat inside it.

You could really come up with some funny things with it. I could see myself using it for my birthday party shows.
