Hi all

One of my students, a Chinese 10-year-old, brought me a couple of hotrod-like rods his parents picked up somewhere in China. There is no routine with them. Can anybody point me to what they are and where I can purchase a performance routien for them?

They are both black plastic, the size of normal cheap hot rods. But:

Rod number 1:
Side 1: 1 diamond in the middle, 1 ruby at one end
Side 2: 1 diamond in the middle, 1 topaz at one end (same as ruby on other side), 1 ruby at other end (nothing on other side at that end)

Rod number 2:
It is long enough for 6 gems but only contains 4 (in the middle 4 positions)
Side 1: ruby, diamond, diamond, diamond
Side 2: diamond, diamond, ruby. diamond.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

-Kim

They aren't actually "Hot Rods." Hot Rod is a very specific item. They sound like a variant on Jumping Gems. This is one of those things that I think you will need to make up your own routine for.

Kim,

We make similar set with Gabon Black Ebony wood and real gems Rubys, Saphires and Emeralds, but they are a jumping gem set. Bill is right, these are Jumping Gem rods, not hot rods persay. I have a routine with our set that we wrote, if you PM your address, I'll be happy to send a copy of the routine to you.

Best,
Jake

Thanks for the correction, Bill. You are right, I just did not quite know how to name these things.

Jake: I've PM'd you, thanks for yoru gracious help. Do you have a website I could browse?

Ah...silly me! You already have your website in your profile. I'm browsing it now. Some VERY nice stuff!

There is another that shows all four sides (top, bottom and both sides) of the rod. I forgot the name of it.
