I was wondering if anyone could explain to me the close relationship the royal family of Monaco has to the world of magic. Are they just a bunch of magic enthusiasts over there or is there some deeper historical connection?

I was speaking to David Stone at a recent magic convention and I know that he performs magic for them. He didn't say anything about any of the family past or present being magicians. I think there are just magic fans but I could be very wrong. I'll ask David next time I see him, it would be interesting to know,

They are long time magic fans. They have been hosting the Monte Carlo Magic Stars Festival for many years. They make an appearance, photos, chaos, etc... I think the whole thing is a unique and classy way for Princess Stephanie to stay in the limelight at least once a year... It's a great event!
