G'day,
I am sure this is the wrong forum to ask this , but its the one I could find to mostly suit my question. Is there anyone on this forum who is a photoshop pro and really good at masking, cutting a main image out of a big image. (what ever you call it) Basically, I want this image http://www.jamesbustar.com/P1000196.JPG and this one http://www.jamesbustar.com/P1000307.JPG edited so that the background is cut out. I have tried in photoshop, but I need it to be pretty perfect. So anyone whos good at photoshop and willing to help me, maybe we can work out a deal with something? Cheers Guys. James

Hey James. I'm fairly nice with Photoshop. Do you just want yourself cut out, or what?
I see int he first pic you have an audience aswell. Tell me what you want, and I'll make it happen. =] All the best, -Vinnie |

Hey Guys.
I would like me cut out of both photos, just me, no audience. Cheers Guys. If possible, you will see on the image of me smiling and holding 3 balls. Is it possible to fix up the shoe, I don't know if its possible? I mean as in the head is blocking part of the shoe. Cheers, James

Mate! looks fabulous, and I appreciate how fast you did that! All I can say is that the one with me balancing a club seems to have a bit much hair chopped off....
My legs seem a bit skinny in the (ball pose) one but maybe that's because my legs are so bloody long! James

Sorry I chimed into this too late. I can and could have assisted you on this as well. As a graphic designer, I use Photoshop day in and day out for years. It has become one of the better tools of my trade. I am just glad that Sam was able to jump in and help you with this James. Let me know if I can be of assistance. It is great seeing magicians helping magicians.

I tried to mess around with the left leg to make it look better, but that just made your foot look weird, so I left it as it was. And you were correct, I accidentally chopped off too much hair in the 'balancing' pose, so I added it back for you!
Let me know what you think... Sam Pearce |

The skinny leg is just one of those funny things with cropping out the background, if you have long and relatively skinny legs (and also the angle your leg was at, increases this problem). I have done a lot of editing out the backgrounds on photos of myself and my legs often come out looking abnormally skinny due to my height (and already skinny legs), in addition to the angle that most of my photos have my one of my legs in (almost identical to the photo of you).
Great job Sam, as everyone said, it is always nice for magicians to help magicians. Cheers, Emerson |
