I was just wondering if anybody has done the old mentos + diet coke trick and added a whole load of slush powder to solidfy the coke. Would this actually work? Or would the mentos just sit atop the solidified substance? Any thoughts welcome.

Hmm... This sounds interesting but I was wondering ...If you add mentos to coke, do you have sufficient time to add slush powder ?

If you add slush power to coke, how would the mentos react with coke that mix with slush ?

I know its a good timepass and even if it throws the slush in air, why the heck would you want to do that ?

Soon as you put mentos in coke, its going gush out from the top, but If you're thinking that the coke is going to solidify while in mid-air... FORGET IT

It doesn't work just to back you up. I had coke everywhere. Wished it would have worked out, but the more I thought about it, I realized there was no physical way of getting them both in the bottle simultaniously.

Did you put in both item (mentos & slush) together ?

The problem here is that one action prevents other from happening.

If it solidifies first, the gushout is not possible.

If it gushes out, there is very little left in the bottle.

If you're very lucky, you might have coke gushing out first and solidified coke as leftover in the bottle.

Mostly it just blew up in my face...you should have seen it. Very funny stuff. But your right on about the cause and effect of the ingredients.
