In my work I use a few scams such as the 3 shell game, and my favorite, The Endless Chain. I always have the spectator put down money. I always keep it too. I have no problem with this because I tell them that it is a scam up front. My question is this: Would YOU keep the money or not? What your opinion of my doing this is does not matter much to me. I want to know what YOU would do.

Absolutely. If they win, you'll pay off, right?
I have family down there. It might be worth my while to visit you without identifying myself. Watching a good Monte demonstration is always worth a few bucks, from my viewpoint. One question - Do you keep letting the "Slow thinkers" continue to bet after relieving them of "enough" money? Dave |

I go through the routine. When the routine is over, I keep what I "won" and stop. I do not keep going. Although, at the VERY end I get a kiss from the pretty girl whose boyfriend's money I just took. That is the best part of the routine.

No, I wouldn't take someone's money unless they considered it a tip from the start or unless (like you) I told them plainly it was an unbeatable scam.
Have you ever been refused a kiss at the end of your routine? alleycat

Never take the money from the scam-- that can get you arrested--but always take the kiss!

When I am done with a "scam routine" I tell them that I will not "take" their money but they can tip me what they think this lesson was worth. I almost always get a decent tip.

Don't you have any gambling ethics? You should allow them to win back what they lost. You might lose what you won but ethics man, ethics. Are you kidding? What part of the word SCAM don't you understand? I also can't believe that you used the words "GAMBLING" and "ETHICS" in the same sentence, much less right next to each other. |
