Unfortunately that seems to be the case when performers hit the big time. More often than not.
Looked what happened with Jim Carey. His wife stood by him and supported his acting carreer. He hit the big time and she was gone.

Sources I've heard close to Criss Angel have mentioned him dating both Cameron Diaz and Minnie Driver. And that there was a period where his new Las Vegas show at the Luxor was put on hold as the divorce was worked out.
I do remember in the first season of "Mindfreak" a girl appearing on the show who was listed as "Criss' Girl." Perhaps that was Joanne? They definately deliberately downplayed (ignored) his being married. Not cool. --Jack |

Yes, he is indeed married - I was under the impression he had already been divorced after the 1st season of Mindfreak, but apparently that is not the case.
My girlfriend noticed that while Joanne was listed as Chris' "girlfriend" during the buried alive episode, she was wearing a wedding ring. I wonder how much knowledge she had of her role in the show, I can't even imagine what she would have felt like. I know if I treated Dana like that, she would kill me. Sad. Very sad. I wouldn't want a wife I was ashamed of and had to hide. I wish Joanne all the best, it is obvious she has been put through a lot. -JoeJoe

I love that Dominic Barbara (of Howard Stern show fame) is her attorney. |

I don't know about you but I really could care less who Criss dates or anything really too much about his personal everyday life.

That's what people would say about you.
But if you were Copperfield or another big name you would be on the front of every gossip mag. |

But people are always bugging me about my personal life. It's annoying so I don't do it to others. So how's your love life going?

That's a personal choice. But when the whole world starts scrutinizing your every move it becomes a different story as you are now always "on", and making decisions based on public image instead of what really matters. Doesn't happen to all celebs, but it does happen to most.
Leave the rumour mill to the highschool girls. (my apologies to those teenage females who don't subscribe to rumour mill and were lumped into that pointless accusation) |

I am not a fan at all. But to achieve your goal, only to end up as some fodder for tabloid news, well that is bad.
Now in all fairness he does tend to bring it on himself, so turning it off is not easy, but still it is a commentary on what is laughingly called society.

If you just went about your normal boring everyday life when not working, people would quickly lose interest. One thing that has bothered me as of late is the entertainment section of the newspapers. No longer is it focused on entertainment but on gossip and tabloid info. That's not entertainment news. I want to know about shows, festivals, bands, performing artists....etc. Even the local entertainment is given very little press. Thank goodness for independent rags. |
