Looks really good and nice price. I don't really need the display put I know a lot of guys do. I'll stick to my IJet for now.

EZ, that sounds alright, but what kind of outputs would you have that would be compatible with larger sound output devices, like a 200 watt amp for larger venues and crowds?
And...let's be honest, the reason people use an iCue or and iCue2 (like mine) is so the remote is small and inconspicuous and can be used THROUGH the fabric of your pants without looking. Who wants to have to LOOK at the remote to see current/next track? Frankly, there are a million different cheap ways to get remote sound, but frankly none will do what a professionally made/designed sound system (one that's made FOR AND BY performers) will do. I'm not pushing VSM products, right now, either, but if you already have something good from VSM, you should stick with that. It's designed to do what you need as a professional performer. Steve |

Steve,
The DLO system has RCA line outputs. Which is exactly what you need to connect to an amp or mixer. I'm sure it doesn't fit everyone's needs, but like EZ said it's another alternative. |

Eztravlr, I use an IJet remote with my Ipod to control my sound. I paid about $50 for for the Ijet and I believe it is a lot cheaper now (around $20). It works great and the remote is tiny.
About 6 months ago I purchased a new Ijet remote with the LCD screen for $100 which would display the track name on the remote. This is a great feature to have during a show. However, the remote has to buffer each time to advance a track. So there is quite a delay for the next track to play when the button pushed...and not only that, you have to push the button twice...once to buffer and display the track...and once to play the track. So I wasted $100 on this remote as it is unusable for my show. Does your new remote you purchased from Best Buy do the same thing? I noticed it has a LCD screen on the remote to view the tracks. Please let me know. Rich B. |

Peeps,
Here is a review of the product from IPODLounge: http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/ipod/re......-remote/ I heard about this remote months ago from ABT tech support and saw the info on the web but didn't't get a chance to post. The DLO homedock remote is engineered by ABT. http://www.abtech2.com/ eztravlr Does the remote go to "sleep" if you don't press any button in the remote. Press a button and then wait a minute and tell us if the screen goes dark. If it does go dark do you have to press a button to wakeup the screen or when the screen goes dark can you still forward and rewind with one button click or does it require two clicks. RichB, The ABT remote will take a long time to buffer if you have a IPOD full of songs. I have a 30GB IPod and it only contains about 30 songs that I use in my shows. Also the Ijet 2-way remote remote goes to sleep mode to save battery life. G0THIKE |

Gothike, my ABT 2-way remote does not take too long to buffer...I kind of exaggerated a bit. I probably have about 100 songs on my Ipod and it takes probably 3-4 seconds to buffer. The problem as you said,is the second click after it buffers to execute the next command. I have never used it in a show...so if the unit in this thread operates the same way, I would not recommend it.

3-4 seconds during a performance is a LONG time, however.

RichB,
Most likely, from my theory, the DLO lcd remote goes to sleep to extend the battery life, without it regular consumers will be complaining about battery life. This specific remote is targeted to regular people and not magicians. Maybe someone can confirm or call ABT. With the original IJet 2 Way I spoke to their main tech and they released a firmware update for the sync problem. I also mentioned a firmware update to prevent the sleep feature and they told me it wasn't possible, I even argued with them. I know its possible but they told me its a hardware issue to blow me off. Luckly for us the ABT Ipod remotes without the LCD screen are pretty reliable and have a 120 foot range. I personally use an IPOD and ABT remote when I work little 10 minute standup shows at comedy clubs. From my experience all the miscues people are having are user error. G0THIKE |
