Carol does enjoy the cup collection, though. Her favorite set are the Victory cups from Colin Rose. She gave me several of the sets as Christmas gifts -- some of the Sherwood sets, to be exact.

Wonderful looking collection of cups Bruce. It's amazing how different all the copper sets look. I think my fave looking colour are the Risers.
Thanks for sharing Bri |

Thank you! It has been fun collecting them so far and learning about the different Cups and manufacturers. I am still waiting for a few to arrive from RNT2.
I will say it again they are all little works of art, each with their unique characteristics and quirks that I appreciate. Thanks to everyone who has posted their collections, It is so fun to see all the different Cups. Best wishes, Bruce |

Beautiful collection Bruce!
Like you I liken these cups to art. Like functional sculpture. Thanks for sharing your 'family' photos. Best, dc

James… thanks, like you I will be looking for a cabinet or curio cabinet to house my goodies in. We will be remodeling the basement this summer and it looks like I will get my man cave/magic room. Please post pictures when you find the right piece of furniture, I really would like to see it.
Ttorres… I was a little green last year, Cup by Cup I have been building my collection leading me to new friends everywhere. Thanks to all that have helped me get to were it is today. Take care, Bruce |

That's a nice wand! Did you make that one yourself?

Bill, and Mickey,
I am sorry but I cannot help you. I do not know who crafted this wand. But you are right it is a pretty one. The tips are made of ivory, and I change the center part which was in bakelite, and I replace it with a piece of ebony. This wand came to me from Doug King, who is a member of the Café. Maybe Doug knows who is the craftsman ? |

François, I am admiring the wand, the cups and the balls! I love the tight kint on those balls.

François… I enjoyed looking at your website with your magic treasures. The pictures are fantastic, what kind of camera do you use and how do you set up the lighting. All I have is a cheap digital camera… I try my best.
Best wishes, Bruce Posted: Mar 16, 2009 11:52am Mickey… thanks, I am very sorry that I did not get to go to Vegas. You and Rannie are on my short list to meet. Hopefully next year and Mr Fenton will be there. Take care, Bruce |

But I think the important thing is the background you chose. I alway try to put a piece of silk, or cloth , or tissue that fits with the item. Most of my pictures are taken at daylight with a window in my back. The flash is just here to equilibrate the contrast. But to be totally honest, sometimes I take more than 20 pictures before obtaining a correct result. |
