Quick question I was going through any questions dvd and hoosers book destroyers again today and I was wondering about a good way to ditch a shelled flipper without making any noise, Has this been explored before?

Maybe If you could get a flipper with a small magnet in it and get a shim expanded shell so then they souldnt come apart.

It depends on the quality of your shell/flipper set. Mine is a Lassen and I can sleeve it, pocket it, do all kinds of stuff with it and it will stay together. I haven't expiramnted with other kinds so I'm not sure abouut them.

Yes, a Trabuco holdout is a first option. some sticky on the end of your holdout is another. Somewhere in between is likely to work best for you.

My flipper and shell are both made by roy keuppers and are excellent quality , I was thinking of a pull but I don't think that would be very good for impromptu situations.

If you are carrying your special coins it is not an impromptu performance. If you are carrying your coins and purse, may as well put a reel in the thing and get on with it.

Ammar coin clip, then sleeve it topit it, or switch it then make a casual ditch

I appreciate your guy's help but for me having my coins on me is just an everyday thing, I don't own a topit and probably never will, I just wanted something quick (like sleeving) and impromptu for on the go or just casual situations like at work or hanging with buddies, I am not a proffesional by any means just a hobbyist. But thanks again boys.

Then How about A pocket Dich? You could do that From T.P. Into A shirt pocket! Just have a hank or something In the Pocket to hold it Open. Ok hope this Helps! |

Actually that does help thanks david, I was more worried about the sound of the coins if they separate more than anything.

The coin clip with keep them from seperating hence the suggestion, then you can front pocket ditch or sleeve or lap, or whatnot

A pocket ditch is perfect. I do it with my shell all the time. Really easy to do and no one ever notices. Then you are not dependent on having sleeves. -DP

Sometimes I think its good to avoid pocket ditches all the time. I do a lot that requires me to go to pockets for cups and balls and chop cup for example, so when I got the coins out I don;t want them to start thinking I'm using pockets all the time

I have some advice.
1.Take an old shim coin you don't need/want and glue the shim in the flipper or shell. 2.Use a hold out(i.e. jack miller) or a magnetic utility(i.e. a pk ring, raven, bat) 3.Invest in a pk topit(i got mine from ebay and I love it!) 4.Learn to sleeve(justin miller's silver dream is an excellent resource) 5.Pocket ditches or a regular topit(i.e. Ammar, jay scott berry,etc..) 6.if seated, lapping. 7.Alt. ditches(i.e. the leg ditch in bobo's, I personaly love the body ditch/vanish used in chad sanborn's 3 fly on his "mind benders" dvd. |
