Hello all,
I have been a member of the boards for a while now and I just realized that I have never introduced myself. My name is Dorian LaChance. Although I have loved magic all my life I didn't start an earnest study of it until 1999 (i was 29ish then) when my incredibly supportive wife gave me "Now you see it, now you don't" by Bill Tarr. This book opened up a whole new world for me. However, I remained a closest magician until 2005 when I met another magician that eventually became my mentor. I am now working a couple of restuarants a week along with several private engadgements and birtday parties a month. I am currently beginning an earnest study on entertaining children so that I might make my children's shows the best they can be. that's it for me....take care and God Bless, Dorian LaChance http://www.magicbydorian.com

Hello dlachance and welcome!
I was stationed in Biloxi at Keesler AFB in 1978. I hope Katrina didn't come too close. I love that Bill Tarr book. It was also one of my first and prompted me to get the second in the series (do you have it?). You can see by my photo that I also perform for children. Good Luck, Christopher |

Howdy, Dorian
I have family around Jackson MS, (that is near Madison...right?) I may check out your show sometime. Glad to see your wife supports you, My wife runs away screaming when I approach her with a deck of cards. Later
After much soul searching about a signature, I decided not to have one.
