I am looking to expand my presence and marketing towards elementary and middle schools. I currently do mailings (letters and post cards) and was wondering what other marketing or promotional resources are available out there and what your thoughts or experience are with them.
I work nationwide so I'm looking for any local, state, regional or nationwide (US) associations, publications, etc. Are there any School Assembly directories, events or showcases that you suggest or have had experience with? Any thoughts or feedback would be greatly appreciated. |

Dennis I appreciate the time and effort behind you post. It was very helpful.
I have searched the Café quite well before asking my questions as I did not find the information I was looking for, which is why I started this post. Several of the links were dead and some related topics such as Kids Parties and Blue & Gold Banquets were not quite my area of interest. I keep hearing about school assembly guides or programs to advertise in but have only been able to find two with very limited territories, so I thought I'd put the question out there. I guess I didn't understand what *G* meant, as even though I've read a great deal here I've never came across that inference. This has been quite helpful. Much appreciated. |

As a flair bartender, to get better bussiness I make a short DVD, kinda a promo deal to drop off at any place I think would be willing to hire me... its worked so far, and w/ technology these days its not that costly

I think in US if you are competitor in schools for their money, you are a competitor for ALL entertainers who are after the same?
I would not help you put me out of work if I were these people! Perhaps naivety of inexperienced here makes them help you and not dangers know? I think so! Dennis is perhaps helping bad magicians muddy waters a bit I think. Mindpro should know to use search here...it is like "venus fly trap" for egocentrics! We can help with tricks, I think, but marketing is very touchy subject when you may take money away from family... Louis |
