Hi, I'm from Santo Domingo (Republica Dominicana),Island on the Caribbean. I've been interested in magic since I was 7 years old. Here we don't have much magicians, and much less magic clubs. I hope I can make a lot of good friends in the Café. Barrys.

Welcome to the Café and enjoy. Also, the answer is...it is a very easy trick to do with very little practice time. Dave |

Hola Barrys.
Bienvenido. It´s so nice to have another Latin American magi here at the Café. I was like you. I thought there were not many magicians or people interested in magic in my small South American country. Fortunately, I have been proven wrong. About one year and a half ago, in Quito, a group of friends of magic formed the "CÃrculo Ecuatoriano de Ilusionismo". I only joined recently because I was unaware of it and because I had been away from the country for several years (was living in France). It´s a magic club and a school of magic which meets alternately on Mondays for magicians and students, respectively. Last night my wife and I attended a wonderful two hour magic show, in a beautifully restored theater in the quaint historic quarter of the city. I was impressed by the talent of the two performers that put on a show that included stage, close up, mentalism and a good dose of comedy. As part of the evening, the best student of the magic school (about 15-16 years old) was invited on stage to perform. He was very good. I left that old theater feeling wonderful. Thus, magic has a future in Ecuador! I write all this to motivate you to perhaps organize something similar in República Dominicana. You probably know that the fantastic beach resorts in your country hire great international magicians to perform. Maybe they can help promote the local magi. Just a thought. Wishing you the best in magic. Welcome to the absolute BEST magic forum in the world. You will find many friends here from around the globe. I am now one of them. Un abrazo, José.
