My intention is to share my experience with the balls I have crafted for my cups and balls work, close up restaurant acts, etc

It took me quite some time to craft them, use them with the audience over my side of the world (Asia Pacific), noted their responses, and recorded them for further improvements on my C & B work.

I have created a webpage highlighting the different type of balls I used for my cups and balls routine and noted down the audience comments and responses for your viewing pleasure.

Your comments on the balls would be appreciated. I'll accept any comments so I can improve on my craftmanship and cups and balls work with the balls.

Here's just a glimpse of them...

I usually like to customize my props as much as possible instead of buying the props that everyone uses.. It must have took a while to knit those, if that is what you did.

James,
I'm trying to figure out what the spiral balls are made of, it isn't clear from the description on your site.

Those balls showcased on the photographs are hard except for the pom-poms (which are very dense and have a solid feel).

Yes, it took me quite a while. The more complicated the designs are the more time is needed.

Don, those spiral balls are made of UV cord wounded around a ball that are either made of wood, Styrofoam, plastic, etc. Currently I made them using Styrofoam. This is because they are also used for stage manipulation. I do make them with wooden balls too but they would be a bit heavy for ball manipulation routines.

I am not sure what you mean by 'sack', Joseph? Could you elaborate?

Nice work James!

I like the stripes over the crocheted ones. Much more distinctive than what we normally see.

Which balls are you referring to? My apology but I don't understand what you mean by fuzzy?

Most of them has solid or hard core (styrofoam or wood or plastic, etc) that are crocheted over. Others are 100% compacted wool felted to form a ball. As for the pom-poms they are very dense and have a solid feel.

How miniature do you mean, Jonathan? 1/2", 1/4", 1/8" in sizes?
