Hi there.
I use this effect, (Ali Bongo's version,) in walkaround and it works REALLy well. I don't use it at every table, but where there are a couple of people who want to get involved, and there is space and time I use it. I first saw it at Ali's lecture, and then at Paul's lecture at Blackpool, (where I bought The DVD.) I liked the effect, but I too thought it would be too long for a lay audience in a performing situation. That was until My dad did this for some friends and blew them away! I dusted off Ali's lecture notes, worked out some one liners to put in to the performance, and put it in the act. My introduction at a table ends with, "... would you like to see a clever miracle, or a silly one?" It doesn't matter what they say, they usually get the same effect anyway, but if the seem to be heavily in favour of a clever one I do this effect. It's also perfect when you have a largish group because it involves up to 3 people and I give them ALL the credit. I have to say though, It's particularly good to get a Smart-alec kid, who are SO joyful when they think it's gone wrong:-) Regarding reset. I just pick the stack up and do one shuffle then spring them, This gives a break because I do a kind of Riffle force at the start. I justify having a seperate deck because I do T&R and card on ceiling with the other pack I carry, and I say I obviously need a complete pack for this effect. Andy
