Hi all,

I just wanted to tell you I had the honor of reading Aaron Chee's newest ebook that he just put out on illusion bases. It is simply an amazing body of work for any illsuionist.

Aaron Chee has created one of the finest ebooks on illusion base design and building that I have come across. Aaron not only gives you step by step details on building of illusion bases, but also goes in depth to deliver information on the principles behind illusion bases as well as the various tools and principles behind the art of illusion building and performance.

It is jammed pack with useful information as well as diagrams (step-by-step) as well as photos. He goes into the theory behind bases, differneces in base design, positioning of the person inside the base and how this can impact your design and so much more. He even gives you step-by-step building plans for you to construct your own illusion base.

This is unbelievable information on illusion base design and he has really done his homework on this from my own opinion. It is a wealth of information for only $15. It easily could go for double that amount and more.

You can read more about the ebook and its contents at:

I highly reccommend this ebook to any magician getting into illusions or anyone wanting to know the inner secrets to illusion base design. My hats off to Aaron for putting this fine ebook out on the market. Thanks Aaron and I hope you will put out more ebooks on the subject of illusion design and performance.

Wow Kyle...

You took the words out of my mouth! I was planning to write a review regarding Aaron's new ebook "Base Planning: How to Build a Deceptive Base". I'll add a little bit more to what you've written...

Aaron has written the most comprehensive and up to date book on designing and building an illusion base for the professional illusionist! If you are thinking of building your own bases or designing a base for an illusion project (or maybe your just curious about illusions and want a better knowledge of what is involved in the design and fabrication process), this book should answer all of your questions and give you a better idea of what it takes to create a high-quality performance using an illusion base to its fullest ability. I believe Aaron is the next Woodbury or Osborne when it comes to prop design. He's definitely aware of what looks good and is still functional when it comes to modern-day illusion design.

I'm sure you want to know a little bit more about what is in the book...

Upon completion of the download, you will first notice how the book keeps with the theme of the base and "sight lines". The book covers the following topics:
*Introduction by Aaron
*Safety
*Disclaimer
*Positions and Conditions
*Design and Measurements
*Types of Bases
*Construction
*Concluding Thoughts

As I've already mentioned, this book covers everything from beginning to end!

Aaron's book comes at a low price of $15.00 (I feel he could get much more for it though) . Aside from this book, Aaron is getting ready to release "Illusion Base the DVD"... If it is anything like the book, there is no use for those old Woodbury VHS/DVDs!!!

Great job Aaron... I give this ebook a definite "TWO THUMBS UP"... and I look forward to your future projects!

Hello there,

As you may know I've been talking to Aaron about sharing his prop building knowledge with the community for a very long time. I'm happy to say that the first step in this process is upon us.

This book is the PERFECT introduction into the world of deceptive bases. Bryan has stated the areas Aaron covers so I won't bore you. The part that I found so impressive is that Aaron explains how to build a bevel base so easily... when I read it I got very excited because I felt I filled the gaps in my knowledge about this type of base.

The book has Diagrams and photographs of each stage of construction. You get to see the base from its basic box all the way to its shiney finish. Aaron's tips along the way are pretty much worth the price of the book. The book is concise, to the point.

If you are interested in building your own illusions and you don't buy this book, you are nuts!

P.S The dvd is in the works. Welcome to the future!

I came across this... Was the DVD ever completed? I can't seem to locate any additional information on Aaron Chee releases.
