Greetings.
I am wondering how you can tell the authentic version of PB&J illusion, and not the knock off. I noticed in two versions I was looking at the brands where different. Actually one was a real brand, Just a label made to look like a brand. But these can be switched out. Anyway to tell by a photo? Thanks! RevJohn |

The version that has Timothy Wenk's name on it is considered the original PB&J.
It has soft black covers that squeeze. But as was pointed out earlier, the passe passe effect is old as magic itself. |

Thanks...
Yes, I know the "original" effect dates back, WAY back. Just wondering about this version. You have helped quite a bit. Thanks! John |

According to this it is no longer around?
http://daytonamagic.net/customer/index.c......tId=7267 Not sure of the validity of that. |

I do believe it is no longer being made. I was more curious if I was picking up a second hand version how to make sure I was getting the real deal, so to speak.
Is Timothy's name found on the effect itself, or just instructions? Thanks! John |

There is one being made that looks like the timothy wenk verison. It has a different label on it. It looks great!! I thin hocus pocus has it.

Looked at Hocus Pocus' site and couldn't find it. Perhaps I am not searching right.
Thanks! John |

I believe the Wenk version uses Peter Pan labels. I unknowingly bought a different version. It's called Peanut Butter & Jam and uses old time Skippy labels. It comes with the same black covers and works great.
There is a third version that gets widely criticized here for being a knock off. No brand name on the peanut butter. I just found the link to the discussion: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......forum=17 |
