Hello dove workers!
I am looking for something that was lost many years ago. I have a dove tray that had a flint wheel striker.

This dove tray was made to be held and not placed on a table or stand. The tray when held looks very thin! The hands cover the other end of the tray, which is larger.

The magician’s helper strikes the flint wheel and sets the tray on fire. Then the helper makes the dove appear. The flint wheel was not mounted to the tray. It just was place in a small hole that held it in place when used.

Where can I get another flint wheel that I can use for this tray?
There is no name of the maker stamped any where on the tray. There is only a small sticker that reads, ‘Hecho en Mexico”. Which is of no help to me.

Anyone?

Best

A sparking striker for a welding torch might work. Or look at an ignitor for a Coleman lantern.

You might try one of the immitaion zippos from your local 7-11. They have a flint wheel and the flint should be replacable.

Thanks for the tips guys. Right now I just light the tray with a torch to cane.
Not as nice as just waving my hand over it! But, it gets the job done. LOL

Send me a digital photo of the wheel. I might be able find something that just goes in. I used a Tim Starr Firebowl for years.

Small file.via regular email is fine.

Richard,
I don't have the wheel. The whole unit was misplaced. I need the whole thing.
