Am I supposed to "love" a pair of goniffs who lied about the "approval" of the two people they ripped off to produce a DVD for which they are claiming world television rights?

In light of the fact that Ted Lesley is currently in a rehab facility undergoing physical therapy and has no source of income, it seems rather cheap of these fellows not to even toss him a crust of bread. Instead, they say that he is aware of it and is fine with it.

That is absolutely untrue.

Ted has had the same cell phone number for two years now. Even though he has been in and out of the hospital, he has not been unreachable.

I have a good friend in germany who is friend of Ted and Braco. If you would ever imagine how many people rip off THEIR creations... It's unbelieveable. There is a well known magician with a levitation on the market wich is 100% rip off one of Braco's levitations.

I mean, I guess I'll then create a DVD with David Copperfield's "Laser", change it's name, tell people "I've spoke with him, and he is fine with that". Next, I produce a DVD, change the name of the effect and give credit to David. Because I've "spoke" with him and he is "okay" with that.

That Laser sure looks great. I've seen it very close up and from where I was watching from the illusion was perfect.

It was a great effect, one of DC'S best.

Jazz2005... Ted is seriously ill in hospital at the moment so probably the reason why he hasn't contacted you. He does have a problem with it, and it is a rip off.

This is all very nice and I would tend to agree with your uncompromising rejection of intellectual theft amongst magicians, but here's the problem: Moral though this may all be, you have two mail-order university degrees (including a Doctorate!) and nowhere on your website do you admit the bogus nature of these 'qualifications'. I realise that intellectual theft and fake degrees are not the same thing, but they're cut from the same moral cloth and it's tough to take seriously your principalled stance on this issue.

This effect looks amazing. I was on the fence on buying it, but after hearing all of this, I'm going right out to get it. If this many people are fighting over it, it must be incredible.

This looks like a cat fight. Bottom line question, if you buy Ted's Cabaret Mind Reading DVD, you get a whole host of effects including the bending wine glass. Is Refraction that much different that it is worth purchasing for that one effect alone??????

Just ordered it this morning, so I will share my thoughts when it arrives. I havent been this excited about a purchase in a long while, because from the video and reviews I have seen, it should be worth every penny.

Well, after a long wait, I finally received it. I must say that I am pretty impressed with the effect overall. I was a little concerned about the fact that a few people were calling a few of the "moves" impractical, but I think that everything that's laid out here will work in a real world situation.

Would it be worth it to buy the Lindsay version of this as well? I know this question has been asked before, but I have not really heard a solid answer. Please forgive me if I missed something.

I am sort of having trouble finding one of the items I need for this, and if anyone can PM me with a place I can get one of these, the help would be appreciated!

Just ordered this, waiting for it to come . I do have Ted's Paramiracles and will do a comparison of sorts when this arrives .

Having had multiple discussions with Ted on this subject during the last 3 weeks, both David Penn and I flew to Berlin on Monday to visit with Ted at his home by his invitation.

I can confirm from those conversations, that Ted has no problem with DAVID‘S version of the bending wine glass as revealed in Refraction.

He even confirmed that he had discounted having the optical bend take place in the hands of the spectator. Further, he said that the non book version would not work in the hands of the spectator. He was very enthusiastic and looked forward to comparing his method with that as performed by David Penn.

He was also pleased that David had given him due credit for his inspiration and promoted the PARA MIRACLES book at the opening credits of his DVD.
We also discussed effects which Ted wished us to release on his behalf.

I am sorry to be the bearer of yet more bad news, however, when we arrived at his apartment on Tuesday morning we were unable to further our discussions as Ted had been rushed back to hospital seriously ill. He is under intensive care in a specialist hospital.

Both David and I then spent a great length of time with a very good friend of Ted, Ralf (BRACO) Wichmann who had helped us find out which hospital Ted had been taken to on Tuesday.

Unfortunately Ted is so ill, he is not allowed to have any visitors other than family.

We also attended the Berlin Magic Circle group to which both Ted and Braco are members. We were guests of Braco and met several of Ted’s close friends and colleagues. We enjoyed an evening of excellent magic and great hospitality.

I am returning to Berlin in a couple of weeks to meet again with Braco and hopefully Ted if he pulls through.

I will be kept up to date with any change in Ted's condition and I hope you will all join me in hoping for his recovery.
