I was watching an episode of CSI Miami (I'm not a big fan but I found it's episode 22 of season 4 called open Water) in which one of the suspects was a close up magician working on a cruise ship. At one point, he had a metal case which opened into doors and drawers for all his props. It was not small, i.e. something you'd keep a close up repertoire in rather than something you'd carry with you from table to table, but it looked great. It was in aluminum finish sturdy metal, not unlike the Malloy case in appearance but larger.
Anyone can offer any insights? |

Hmmm...sounds interesting. I didn't see the show. Wonder if the library caries the series of DVD to check out and watch?

Yes you could probably pinpoint that one DVD easily. But I must tell you that there was no magic in it, and the fact that one of the characters was a magician was just a detail. However the couple of glimpses they gave of the case was enough for me to like the idea of holding my main close-up repertoires in it It seemed to have low velvet lined drawers too, which I particularly liked.
(In case you do see the show, I wont tell you who was responsible for the victim getting eaten by sharks. But the magician was not the victim, the sharks probably wouldnt appreciate the added taste of thumb tip rubber and flash paper...) |

Kris,
It Sounds Like You Are Referring To A Pro Make-Up Artist's Case. Google It And You Should Find Many References Along With Photos. Good Luck, Vincent |

I've only looked up a few of the google hits, but you may be right! I can see that these cases are superb for storing stuff. There's a Japonesque model that seems to resemble what I saw to some degree. I'll keep looking. Thanks! |

The Pro Make Up Artist Case is something that I use to keep my close up stuff in, mines small and perfect for travel and it looks very professional too.

There are a few different models I see. Some quite large and with some drawers, and some smaller with two main sections that open upwards and sideways very much like one sold by dealers. I'm visiting usa next monbth and might be interested in getting one, ibm did you get it from some popular outlet?
