Hello... I'm brand new to magic and to this board. Going on some recommendations, I've just started on Corinda's book, and am a little hung up on the section about Magic Squares.

For the numbers divisible by 5, I get it. But for the ones where a remainder exists, I'm a little stumped. The directions in the text (the 248 example) don't seem to match up with the diagram given. Is the starting point different? Am I just looking at this wrong?

I'm pretty decent with math, but right now I feel like an idiot. Help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.
