I use this set several times a week and they look as good as when I got them. The shell is the work of a Master Crafstman.
And thank heavens: no teflon coating in the **ell. It's a nice idea that doesn't help. It makes the "coin" stand out. The Vegas coin **ell doesn't need teflon as tt's so silent! These should have been sold for $300. They are beautfiul to handle!

I have to agree with Christopher, these coins are great. I was skeptical at first, but they really are actual dollar casino coins from a famous Las Vegas Casino. They have a nice weight and feel to them and the machining is precision. Great set!

Are they "soft" in terms of rubbing them together? if so it does sound like a good bargain.

I just got mine from Hocus Pocus for $54.95 + 6.00 shipping.
These are an incredible value for that price! They are REAL, they are beautiful, and they are a great size.

I know this thread is old, but these coins will never get old to me. Here you can see them in action (with a music a bit over the top lol):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsfONPC2_ew I have 2 sets just in case. This is one of the best purchases I ever did. Here's additional info from my review at penguin, for those interested: "First of all, it's not silver as the photo shows. When you get it clean, you can see that it have a silver/goldish look. Also, the more tarnished it gets, the more "goldish" it becomes (and still sparkle and looks good). Bob Kohler words: "The tokens have some very interesting characteristics. First the metal is much harder than silver so the set will be more durable. Second, the metal is impregnated with an anti-corrosive to keep the tokens looking great under extreme use i.e. slot machines." The shell is a masterpiece and the tokens are heavy. They are great to handle. The coins are not attracted by magnets... some will find it good, some will find it bad. Since it's slightly smaller than the dollar size, you don't have to worry about the shell not fitting an okito box. The shell have a tight fit so the nest have pretty much no talk (but you can take it out very easily). If you're ok with the size, the color, the weight and the fact that it won't be attracted to magnet, then you must buy it. They're beautiful (clean or tarnished) and they will last you forever. The craftsmanship is very impressive."

I got given a set of these in a box full of magic just recently. The quality of the shell is really good. I thought it was just four weird coins and thought no more about it, just thinking that it's a set of four matching coins that I may be able to use one day. Then weeks later I picked them up again and was having a play when I realised one of them had a shell. But even then I wasn't sure until I took it off.
