In your shows? I was curious.
Me? Typically, I wear: 1. Black slim fitting dress pants and boots 2. Unbuttoned dress or tux shirt 3. Snazzy dress jacket or vest - many times leather 4. Several bracelets and necklaces |

Since I'm a children entertainer, I wear a colorful jumper/jumpsuit together with a solid color inner shirt and over-sized hat.

Since I advertise as a character magician, whatever the contract calls for. I do, however, have a variety of standard costumes which include tux, cutaway, 3piece (all black with red art deco necktie and pocket square), Victorian Morningcoat with Bow or Stringtie, and finally my Arabic costume, a series of robes with a Fez.

I have worn Hawaiian shirt, and shorts at pool parties. I have worn top hat and tails New Years Eve parties. At a kids bday party I wear black pants, socks, shoes, with a color coordinated shirt tie, suspenders, plus my top hat.

For my non time period specific shows,I wear a black utility kilt, a black sleeveless T-shirt and a form fitting black vest.
Oh...and knee high combat boots. Yes...Even at black tie events (Yes...I do get booked for those, and rebooked as well). I do a lot of sideshow work. Tuxes just aren't practical. It works for my character though. I definately stand out and get a lot of attention. Ren shows- Pirate wear. I very rarely have to wear a suit and tie, usually only in performance art pieces, not in my regular shows. Gwyd |

The only "wrong" is that which does not work, and there are many many "rights". Results may vary.

Three piece suit, watch on a chain with a nice fob, shirt with French cuffs and silver cufflinks, bow tie, black-and-white spectator shoes.
Sometimes I go casual and forego the vest. Then I wear a wristwatch. For college shows, decent black pants, gray suit jacket, gray t-shirt. Still wear the fancy shoes. Rory

I have just changed my look. Still a tux, but now I wear a black shirt. Black is so slimming.
