Café members,
I'm looking to contact a yahoo representative by telephone but it seems virtually impossible. Does anybody have any ideas on how to make this happen? Emails aren't getting me very far. TIA All the Best, magicianguy4life |

Do you have a problem customer service can help or do you need to find someone there? They have offices in Santa Clara and San Jose, look up their numbers. I don't know if they have reached Delphi size yet where numbers are all secret.

A business associate of mine tried to contact Yahoo! as well. In his experience, as in yours, it's essentially impssible to get anyone on the phone. Alas.
Good luck! Should you succeed, please let us know how you did so. |

Well, drive to San Jose, get on North First Street downtown and head...North, you'll pass Yahoos new super building, just go in and ask 'em what you want.

Well, so far I've gotten absolutely nowhere. Every email that I send them I receive a computer generated email that doesn't help me at all. I'm running out of ideas....but the fight will go on....and I WILL figure it out. I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks.

Leave a voice mail, tell them its Google calling about a buyout.

What are you trying to get info on? I always got responses from Yahoo but I asked basic questions.

MagicSanta,
I don't have anything basic to ask yahoo. I need to speak with them about an identity theft issue. I'd rather not go into details right now though. UPDATE- I've tried contacting Yahoo one more time through email since my original post and I received the usual, an automated email from Yahoo that didn't help me at all. I've also done a little research on-line and I have a plan that may just work. I'll let you guys know tomorrow what the plan is and if it works. All the Best, magicianguy4life |

How odd....I asked yahoo a stupid email question and got a response back from a person a few hours later.

MagicSanta,
Let me clarify my problem because I think that you may have misunderstood my issue. Each time I send Yahoo an email a "person" responds back very promptly with an email. So please don't get me wrong, Yahoo is VERY good about responding back to emails very promtly. The problem is the response I'm getting back. I can tell that it's been pretyped in a way that it helps a great majority of people. Unfortunately, the response is completely irrelevant to me because my situation is much different than the typical problem. To fix this problem I've chosen to contact Yahoo by either person or telephone. Once again....the fight WILL continue....and I WILL figure it out. Thanks to everybody who has responded to me about this post with advice, suggestions, and ideas. It has been greatly appreciated. I'll post an update later on today. All the Best, magicianguy4life |

UPDATE- I've had quite a bit of luck today while I was trying to contact Yahoo. I used http://www.yellowpages.com and searched "Yahoo" in the Chicago area (I'm currently not too far from chicago)and came up with a result. I called that number and after I finally reached an operator, I asked for the "business express department". I have absolutely no idea what this section is, what they do, nor have I ever heard of it before but I got this tip from another website. I'm not exactly sure if the operator understood where I wanted to be transferred but I was transferred to another operator who helped me out quite a bit. She gave me the name of a person, the time I should call, and an extension to a person that may be able to help me out.
Hopefully this person will be able to help me out. If not, I've also been given an email address by a generous Café member that may put me in contact with a real person at Yahoo. I'll use this address if I don't get anywhere with the person who the operator suggested. ALL SUMMED UP- It's been quite a bit of work to contact a real person at Yahoo. It seems that you just have to be super aggressive and hope for a bit of luck. I'll keep you guys posted on whether I solve the issue I'm having. All the Best, magicianguy4life |

Fellow magicians,
Sorry for not following up on this story a little sooner. I just returned to town from a family emergency. The person I called at Yahoo was able to assist me with my problem. My problem has been resolved but it required much more work than I believe it should. It wouldn't hurt for Yahoo to become a little easier to deal with. Anways...they've finally fixed my problem.
