This sounds like a killer. Anyone here use this and have a review of it? Pros? cons?

Well....it must not be very good, if not one person can sound off on it in three days.

Hi Scot,
Here are some links on Solari's Double Barrel: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......orum=109 http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......orum=109 http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......orum=109 I have it as well, and it's an excellent trick. The gimmick is cleverly made and very deceptive, which greatly adds to the overall effect of knowing exactly how many cards down their selected card is located! Cheers! |

Thanks for the links and the review.
The first time I watched the demo for this, I was clueless. I just watched it again and, this time, it seems pretty obvious to me how it all works. Very clever, though. I will definitely be buying this effect.

This type of effect has been around for a long time. Nothing special about this effect. You can do this effect with 2 normal decks.

I have it and love it. I use it mostly in stand-up type situations, only due to pocket limitations, as the effect does use two decks. I modified his system slightly to suit myself, but the concept is great and the built-in gimmick is fantastic. The built-in gimmick can also be used for a variety of other uses.
My suggestion is get it, you'll love it. |

I seen the demo on this. It's OK. When you tell the spectator to count down to a certain number, he says 14. To me, it seems like it's all planned in advance.

I think I know how the effect is done, except for part when the performer knows what the selected card is.

It seemed to me that Criss Angel did a version of this trick on one of his episodes, where he used a pistol to "shoot" holes in a selected card thrown in the air.
