I'm really kind of curious still, what's a "kinfe", and why is this woman throwing it at her kids?

1) - Don't you just bust out laughing at the "sweet little me" / "kiddie beauty pageant" pose the little one strikes while she's getting knives thrown at her?

2) - If this were done today, exactly how long would it be before Child Protective Services rushed in?

BTW, I seem to recall that these people were named in the newsreel - anyone know whatever became of them?
