I need to talk to someone about this. I need someone well known in here to have a look at let me know what they think.

THE EFFECT:A coke bottle and coin are borrowed. Everything is laid fairly on the table.

The cap is shown to be empty before it is slowly screwed on. The coin is signed.
The magician slams the coin thru the base of the bottle, the coin instantly penetrates the bottle. cap is removed and coin is poured out into the spectators hand. Everything is left for examination.

The method can also be used for signed card in bottle.

PROS:
bottle and coin are borrowed.
Can be done with a glass or plastic bottle.
bottle can have liquid in it.
coin is really the signed coin
everything is left behind for examination.
If you have the gimmick on you. You can perform this "impromptu"
no clothing restriction

thank you!
Mac!

Thank you for all the Pms!

I'm very wary about just blurting the secret out to anyone. I've sought the advice of a few guys here (including Bill Palmer)

I'll let you know if a) Its good or b) its been done before!

Thank you once again!

Is it anything like the finger ring version of Bottled Up Inside? That's sort of what it sounds like.

The effect is sort of a test conditions CIB

this is how the effect plays:

setup: bottle, cap lay on the table..magician shows his hands to be empty

1. a bottle(glass or plastic) is picked up and shown and shaken proving its completely empty.(it may contain liquid).

2. the cap is shown to be empty

3. magicians hands fairly place the cap on the bottle

4. cap is slowly screwed on in full view

5. the bottle is again shaken ..empty

6. A coin is borrowed.

7. Magician slams the coin into the base of the bottle

8. bottle is shaken, the coin rattles inside

9. bottle is uncapped and the coin is slowly poured out into the hands of the
spectator.

10. everything is examinable.

that's the basic effect. I have sent an uncut demo to Bill Palmer who will hopefully verify that my decription is truthful Smile

I will not be making that version public (fears of reverse engineering and guessing games etc)

THE EFFECT:...

The effect is EXACTLY WHAT YOU CAN PUT ON A NO-CUTS VIDEO.

The method is impertinant ... you have to live with it so it better be practical and cost efficient right?

Okay, over to you.

Sure, I'd be pleased to have a look at your work and offer what feedback I can. Under NDA as well... as it's your work so no gossip here.

My yahoo email address is good for sending small files (less than 10Megs) and can send links Yousendit/Sendfile to that address too.

You say 'Just invented...', you surely can't be looking at releasing it if it is JUST created...

He has posted a no cut video on YouTube. The quality of this video is not the best, but the trick appears to do what he says it will. I'm rather impressed, especially if he can do it with a coin the size of a quarter.

I'd rather have more CIB's, so we have a better pool to choose from, IMHO.

But I'll say this - in 10 years magicians will look back and wonder what the ^@%# is up with all the coins in bottles back then?

This reads exactly like another CIB...the conditions are identical. IDENTICAL!

No PDF here yet, either email accepts small files. Yahoo is more forgiving for files about 10 megs.

Anyway I will look at the clip when home, as work does not permit YouTube.

If you want to send over some plaintext or a MSWord file... that's doable.
