The heat this summer is an extra special problem.
1. Watch the heat your animals must endure and protect them. A ventilated shaded air space above the cages can really help reduce the radiated heat. 2. Keep a close watch on water available and water consumption. These are not normal times. Water consumption and loss is very high and extremely important. 3. I put the spray function on my hose pipe and sprayed them gentley...they loved it.

As I keep everyone indoors this is not an issue. I bought "dove cote" plans and filed them under "things I'm not going to do".
I love my doves and my bunny.. (and 3 dogs and 3 cats and 1 keet and hamster city), so they all stay indoors. I guess this is not the norm. |
