Hoping to pick your minds here for a sec.
I just purchased the MAK Torch Thru Arm off of EBAY. It came to me with no instructions but is in very good condition. I figured it worked like the basic candle thru arm did and I was correct. However...I cannot get the torch to lite up. I thought you just soaked it in Lighter Fluid and that would do the trick...but I guess not. Anyone out there own this that could help.

I just received the Bazar de Magia Torch Thru Arm/dove production from Hocus-pocus yesterday and it did come with instructions, but doesn't explain how to get the torch to light. It is a silver rod that screws together and has a bunch of webbing string tucked into the part where your suppose to light it. I am hesitant about trying lighter fluid after reading your post and it doesn't look safe. Did you find any resolution to this?
I was thinking of using a different torch but where can one be found? Thanks, Mike

Hi Quique,
Thank you for responding. The video is very helpful for how to perform it. How do you get the torch to stay lighted? Do you have to dip it in some type of lighter fluid first? Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike!
I think that dipping it on lighter fluid would be too much, ...and dangerous. Just put a little through the holes and try it. You don´t need a lot of fire. On the video, the magician put a jet of lighter fluid on top of the torch only. If you have any other question, please, contact me! Best wishes Quique Marduk
