The always charming and creative David London sells his own products, as well as some great new items by Alain Nu, on his website:
http://www.magicalthinking.net/nu.html And …if you are a “thinking magician” or any flavor of bizarre magician… you can also subscribe to his delicious and groundbreaking magazine “Beyond The Smoke and Mirrors” from his site. David recently sent me Alain’s great new item “The Frog/Horse” it is a very practical piece for either family, children’s, or corporate entertainers, as well as a useful prop for mentalists. For only $20 you get one of the best drawn and most professionally realized props I’ve ever seen in this genre, and both in large stage-size and pocket close-up size! I’ve only had this a few days, and I’ve already brainstormed four different, valid, and entertaining presentations and uses for these great props. Yes “it’s just an optical illusion” but it’s a very well done and very well thought out one, you will use! The Frog/Horse Presentation: At the beginning of your performance display a simple image to your audience. They get a five-second glimpse, you ask everyone to lock that image in their minds. Place the picture in a large envelope and hand it to a spectator for safe keeping, then continue your show. As your show ends you test your audience’s memory, only to find that they are split on their recollections. What part of your audience saw seems entirely different from what other spectators remembered! Confusion reins and you end the debate by showing them the same image you showed earlier. Indeed, it was the picture that they saw before, but each experienced it in a different way. Just like life, it’s all in your perspective. Magically, Walt |

I've seen it done and it is indeed one of the best rendered, dual-image illusions I ever seen.
It plays much better than it can ever be described.
"Unlike the mere Conjuror, the Mentalist reaches into that space which a hat normally covers. And from there, he withdraws something more fleeting - and at times, far fuzzier - than any rabbit"

Sounds really similar to this:

Hi guys!
It is similar to the link above, but the illustration has been beautifully and professionally rendered in full color and mounted for performance. And that brings us to the performance, it's not about the prop, it's about the thinking Alain has given to the presentation, and the entertaining and practical use in a mentalism or magic venue. For twenty-bucks it's an effective piece. Magically, Walt |

Thanks for the tip Walt,
It sounded like something I could really use and I ordered one! |

And I received it. Well produced, sturdy and useful item. It makes everyone who views it happily perplexed for a moment and it sets a proper mood.
Including a pocket size version was a real nice touch. It could be played quite serious as a nice moment of misdirection in a mentalist performance and it certainly should be used to build brain cells for the kids. I really like this! Thanks again Walt for directing me to David London and Alain Nu! |

Hi Eddie!
Glad you've found it of use too. David yelled at me for the post as they take a while to make, and I guess his number of orders doubled from Magic Café. I love unusual things that set the mood too. Magically, Walt |

I think I'll have to get this soon, especially the pocket version since I'm more into close up.
