Take a bow, that is a great finisher.

Take a bow with your hands spread wide apart. That tells them you're finished.

Couldn't have said it better myself, the bow says it all. May some "Ta DA" music.

The yellow silk says "The End", "Thank you", or GONE!.

PS --- You know that you can do that with a Sharpie pen?

I don't know the rest of your act, but if you started out with a routine using a yellow silk and ultimately made it vanish, changing your dove to the silk at the end closes the loop and your act is finished. Take a bow.

I never disagree with Bob Sanders, well, hardly ever... but this time I must. I think, in my humble opinion, that any wording on the silk would diminish the effect. You would have to take time to open it and allow the audience to read it, etc. The bird is gone, the silk is there, both hands are clearly empty and spread apart, holding the yellow silk by the fingertips so they can see you have no place to hide it. Keep it simple, says I. Sorry, Bob!

I like Dave Scribner's idea of working the yellow silk into the beginning and vanishing it at some point. That sort of tells a little story.

Spellbinder just knows that my audiences can't read anyway.

For the NASCAR crowd, we just use a checkered flag.

Henry, I don't know the rest of your act or your style, but I know dove to silk is a powerfull effect to end a show.
If you can creat some drama perhabs by going to the front of the stage, ask for complete silence (with a gesture), also the musics stops, so you can concentrate.
Do this part slowly.
Then do the trick and after the wauw's you will receive a hugely applause. and you can take a bow as explaind in the preceding post.

Good luck
