The Next Card Cheating Explanation Video should show us How to Stop the Suckers Learning the Secrets of Card Cheating.

You know what I would like to see.....something that actually looks real and legit with no funny covers, jerks, flicks, or movements. You know that looks like your sitting at the table with regular joes, not ex-vegas card dealers, the movie Shade groupies, small time hustlers, or magicians.
Wait a minute! I just invented a whole new field in card cheating! ;-)

There's an old proverb that say's "there's nothing new under the sun". I have never met a magician who could cheat at a legitimate card game with professional card players. And if you're playing with a bunch of drunks, you don't need to be good. On the other hand I have met and played with some professional card men who were as good as they come. If you are Really Proficient with riffles, shifts, culls, seconds, bottoms, etc., you have no need for much more. I have said it here before, Steve Forte is the best.

Just because you said it before or if anyone or everyone agrees with you, it does not mean you right. Your only right if I agree with you.

I am only bias to Steve because of the facts. There are many great cardmen (and I know quite a few of them), you might be one, but there are those who are just special.

Steve Conner, Please tell exactly what moves you have seen Steve use in "a legitimate card game with professional card players"?

To the best of my knowledge, Steve doesn't cheat so its a mute point. While I have never sat at a game with Steve, I have seen his work in person as well as others such as Richard Turner who I also think is great. Jason England is another great cardman. I think I have the best second deal, so what, it proves nothing. Steve's credentials as well as his skill level is second to none. I have the moves just as the ones I mention do, but that doesn't make us professional cheats. Probably many people get offended because they have personal favorites and feel somehow they are being chided. Just as we have certain magicians who are in a league of their own, so are there card mechanics who are in a league of their own. I am not trying to create an argument and whether you like Steve or not, I could care less. Going back to the thread, we really don't need more DVD's to learn as there are plenty of books out there now that are good if you're willing to put in the time.

What are you, Jason England, and Richard Turner, and Steve if you are not magicians or card cheats.
And what do you mean you "think you have the best second deal" Amoung the four you mentioned? in the world? |

I can only suggest you do your homework and then you'll know who they are. While I only mentioned those three, I know at least 50+ that are better than good. I am not comparing myself in the same class as Steve, Richard, Jason, or for that matter anyone. Its much better to become a good card player than to cheat. If you're willing to put in the same amount of time of practice as these guys, you too might be an icon in the gambling world. Best of Luck!

Whats this garbage have to to with the topic? nothing.
I could invite Steve Conner to a card game. Coming Seattle way any time? We could go over what you know before the warehouse door slams shut. One way in, one way out. (Warriors Come out and playay....) Pa leeeze. How many times have you sat with 100 out this year (2007)? Three times for me. Can't count the 5s 10s and 20s so far. Troll Alert. (I call em like I see em when a name dropper comes to town.) Being an Icon is not the objective, Dumb***. Being unknown is.

Steven, you may have a good second deal (that's your entitled opinion), but I do agree with KingStarDog 100%. It is obvious you are not a hustler (nothing wrong with that) the only problem I see is speaking from an angle you have no experience with, You speak like a magician. Recognition and fame is something you guys seek, a hustler does not.
Is Steve the best? In your opinion, and many others, he is. Am I convinced he is? NO. He is merely a jack-of-all-trades. I, personally, have seen hustlers who would run circles around him. Please don't misread this as an "I don't think he's good" statement. On the contrare, he's very good, but not the best in my book (for certain things) in order to succeed at the table, you don't need to know everything... some things will suffice. I have been shown many things, but call it laziness or comfort, I stick with what feels good to me. I don't need to know every ruse. I just need to know what works for me, And I certainly don't need anyone giving me recognition.... that comes at the end of the night when I go home with more than what I started with (No I'm not a magician) |
