I have finished the manuscript for my AWFAP Book Test (AWFAP stands for Any Word From Any Page). It's an Impromptu Book Test that can be done anywhere, anytime. It also allows to use a borrowed book from the spectators if needed. The spectators can open their book themselves to any page, then select any words from that page and the mentalist get it correctly.

7 copies will be given away to some members here at the Café under one condition: After reading the script you tell me your thoughts about this baby, whether it is good or bad. Any kind of feedbacks are welcome and would be great if I can receive any idea that help to improve the effect.

If you are interested in this baby, just PM me with your email address so I can send the script to you. First comes first gets. And remember to leave a post here so that everybody knows how many copies are left so I don't have to say sorry a lot for any late arrival.

Thanks,

David.

Just read it. Very good so far. I can see where the Greenies here at the Café can help smooth it out Smile
Good decision to include us.

Just read it through, very nice thinking. Nice and impromptu. I'll be using this along with IBT. I have school coming up in the next few weeks so I should be performing some book tests Smile

I don't think it's quite ready for that, Harry. While his effect is good, it does need some work first.

After reading this a couple times I have to say I like it. It is impromtu aas one can get. This method couldbe used with other bok tests and the "move" in this will fly over the specs head It is well thought out and clear instructions. Ryan

Thanks for your comments. I'm still thinking more to refine the routine and after that I'll have it on the market hopefully.

For those who are late, I'm sorry. You guys'd better lucky next time. I did missed some of the free gifts myself here also. It happens to everyone, yep.

I received this and read it the other day. After reading it a few times I do think it offers some nice new possibilities for the impromptu booktest and it will certainly stay in the back of my mind for those moments when someone catches me unaware and hands me a book, I can go right in to a booktest routine, combining this with Busch's booktest and Marc Paul's AAA Booktest, each offering a completely different method, all of them impromptu and each baffling in its own way.

The obvious strengths of the routine are that it really can be any borrowed, unprepared book and they can really think of any word from any page. A weakness of it could be that you do have to make some kind of contact with the book (albeit extremely well motivated), this is the case in all three of the impromptu booktests I use. The added advantage of this test being that the performer is not touching the book while the page is being selected, so you are not associated with this at all, making it impossible for you to force or know the page.

The word selection is a principle I really love and am thinking of more ways to apply it. Overall, I like the idea a lot and think it has 'legs' to be used to great effect!
