Yep lots of thought, lots of deliberation, HURRICANES SUCK. Not the Miami team or the drink of the same name but Dean.
Yep they don't blow, they suck! Being in the middle of a "historic" event ain't all it is cracked up to be let me tell ya.

Yeah...hurricanes, earthquakes, tornados...icky. When I was in the Navy on a pig boat we went to sea for Hurrican Hugo or David, one of the biggunz. We tuck and run to where they say it isn't going, sucker changed directions and went over the top of us. Not fun, less fun was cleaning up.

Yea we actually evacuated south as the weather men said it was going north, and low and behold, it kept comming west and hit far south.
We ended up right where we had left from!

My friend Patty was at a Mexican resort on her honeymoon when a hurrican really trashed the town. She couldn't get out for almost a week, dang I can't remember the town, there on the gulf.

My mom was complaining about the weather in the midwest.
I told her when the weather man feels the need to NAME the storm, to get back to me.

This may sound twisted, but I'd almost rather deal with a hurricane than a tornado. You can at least attempt to prepare in advance for a hurricane. There's no early warning (other than a few minutes) for a tornado.
The only stupid question is the one not asked.

Danny, the next time you're in that predicament PM me. I missed the eye buy twenty miles (I thought it would veer south). The reliance on computer models is not a science, it's a random numbers generator. Sometimes you have to use your eyes.

The way you know you are in a tornado, is your roof is gone! Yea Kregg weathermen really don't know 1/2 of what they think. Oh and it is gone, and I am good. Hit further south, so we were good. Tropical storms more than anything.

It is also the obligation of every news reporter to find and interview the contest winner for redneck of the year... who in turn, is required by genetics to describe the sound the tornado made. Freight trains get a bad rap. Glad to hear you "weathered" it.
