(415) 566-2180 http://www.misdirections.com AS FEATURED ON ABC'S “CHAMPIONS OF MAGIC” It's said there's a fine line between genius and insanity. Well, Sylvester the Jester has definitely crossed that line! He is a magical entertainer who has originated a unique style of visual comedy. It combines a wild costumed character with self-built special effects and his very own unique magic. These elements along with deft timing, skill and a whole lot of energy are seamlessly blended on stage where he performs as a real live cartoon. In the late '80s, inspired by the cartoons he loved as a child, Sylvester began to use his skills as an artist, magician and inventor to design and build the wildest, cartoonyest magic effects anyone has ever seen. But then in the '90s, he literally took it to a whole new dimension when he created his madcap stage persona, “Sylvester the Jester, A Real Live Cartoon.” When he appears on stage, all the laws that govern a 3-D reality go right out the window like smoke from his ears! So now, whether it's through the eyes of the cameras of NBC's “World's Wildest Magic,” ABC's “Champions of Magic,” the Royal Family of Monaco or through the eyes and ears of ordinary people in theaters all over the world, what they've all been experiencing is something totally new and original! A living, breathing cartoon! A hilarious, animated character with the unique knack of transporting himself and his audience into a surreal space and time, where the absurd becomes wonderfully commonplace. Sylvester's lecture will teach not only tricks, but also presentation, misdirection and timing. Many top professionals all over the world, as well as amateurs currently use his magic. Some of the tricks he will explain will be his own classic effects that he has invented such as: The Sylvester Pitch - considered one of the most universal and mystifying moves of all times; Suspended Dimension (Jacketless Topit) - produce or vanish objects the size of wine bottles without a jacket; The Original Ten-Foot Pole - the one that started all the appearing items; and Makin' Sparks - the first and only electric funkin' ring, plus much, much more! “The best Cartoon slash Magician” - Emo Phillips “I usually don't like magic, but this is very different.” - Eddie Murphy “He invents some of the wildest effects I have ever seen.” - Kevin James “He is truly, amazing unique.” - Ken Webber “It is certainly the most original magic presentation ever to appear at the Magic Castle.” - Toney Giorgio “Sylvester creates effects and methods that have no forbearers in magic.” - John Booth “I loved it…Very, very smart.”- Harry Anderson “Never have I witnessed such originality in one show!” - Amazing Johnathan “He's like a Warner Brothers Cartoon only live.” - Harry Blackstone “Lots of fun…Unique stuff.”- Johnny Carson “This kid's a genius…I was amazed…No one has ever done what he does! I predict he will attain great prominence and success.” - Dai Vernon Do not miss your chance to witness and study with the real live cartoon, Sylvester The Jester!!! |

Dan's one of the most creative thinkers out there... and he's really out there. You won't go wrong seeing Dan in action. And he's a really nice guy on top of that.
