I was just wondering what other people think about this. Do you think that the extra almost $30 a case is worth paying for a case of Masters Editions over a case of regular Bikes? I think it is, but that's just my opinion.

Even though I enjoy the Masters, I'd be better suited buying a case of Tally-Ho's.

It is...if you think so. Like most everything else, it's just a personal choice.

I find that they clump up too much after awhile. I prefer regular Bikes over these.

The quality isn't that much better than regular Bikes. They may last a little bit longer, but not by much. Especially if you are a professional performer because you will rip cards up, have them signed, and ruin them in other ways. So in the end, the extra cost isn't really justified.

I bought mine when they first came out and only paid half price for the case (got a couple of freebie decks in the deal, as well). I like the sturdier feel of the cards, and the fact that they are evenly cut. I don't use them as my everyday deck, and I doubt I'll shell out the cash for another case when these are worn out (maybe yes, maybe no), but I'm glad I got them and do actually prefer them to the regular Bikes.

I was impressed at how flat (unwarped) the decks were that I received, since I hate warped decks.
The Masters decks are approx. 2-3 cards thicker than Bicycle or Tally Ho decks. That's right... Bicycle and Tally Ho are made from the same card stock. Hard to believe, but it's true. I doubt that I'll end up using Masters cards because of the Ace of Spades. It looks like a Harley-Davidson emblem to me. Robert |

I always thought that the Masters had a better stock to them. Doesn't E advertise them as having a thicker stock?

Yes, that's what I said. Masters cards are slightly thicker. I put a Bicycle, Tally Ho, and Masters deck side by side, and the Masters deck was the equivalent of 2-3 cards taller than the Bicycle or Tally Ho deck, even though all contained just 52 cards.

I have a few of these decks.
The quality is better than your regular Bikes/TH's, and they are considerably thicker. I honestly don't think that's a good thing, though. If you are used to using the stock of normal cards and switch to these, double lifts and such are a lot harder. I have only used these once in an actual performance, and I was all nervous that I would ruin them. Buy them for fun, but not to perform with. BTW, the Ace of Spades is a beauty. Here's a review I posted a while back... ::BICYCLE MASTERS EDITION DECK::: This is my review for the Bicycle Masters Edition deck produced by Ellusionist. In this review, I am going to try and cover all aspects of these cards. I hope this will help you make a decision as to whether you will purchase them or not. Let's get started... What is The Bicycle Masters Edition Deck? The Bicycle Masters Edition Deck is a deck of cards produced by Ellusionist. For the most part, they look like an ordinary deck of rider back Bicycle playing cards. But they are of a higher quality finish and a thicker stock. Also, there is a brand new design for the Ace of Spades and tuck box. The Bicycle Masters Edition Deck lasts longer than a normal deck of cards, which can save you lots of money. The Tuck Box The first thing you see when you receive these cards is the tuck box. The Masters Edition box is slightly modified and has a different design. On the front, the regular "Bicycle" text is spread across the top. According to the colour of cards you purchased (red or blue) this text will be on a coloured background that covers the whole box, except for a white ark in the centre. There are gold highlights in the coloured area that follow the outline of the area covered. Displayed in the white ark area is the newly designed Ace of Spades with the text "Masters Edition" emblazoned above it in a light gray. Below the spade, also in light gray, it says "Playing Cards" in a small font. At the very bottom it says, "Masters Edition - Rider Back". On the back of the box, the rider back design is displayed surrounded by a white border. There is also a red and white deck seal that says "The United States Playing Card Company" on it. Unlike a regular tuck box, the edges are all white and contain information about the finish and production company. The bottom edge has a built in bar-code revelation that says "2 07 5P4D3S." This is a huge step up from a regular Bicycle tuck-box, and I think it looks incredible. The Quality The Masters Edition Deck has a UV500 Air-Flow Finish, which makes the cards tougher and stay slippier longer. Also, the cards are printed on Casino-Grade Stock which makes them considerably thicker. The difference in quality is completely noticeable, and you can decide if that's a good thing or not. The Ace of Spades The new Ace of Spades design is, in my opinion, the nicest feature of this deck. It features a mechanical looking outline of the classic spade, complete with bolts. In the center, a tribal style eagle whose wings stretch out past the spade flies beneath a crown, all against a red/blue background. The Ace of Spades reminds me of a tribal/graffiti style, much like a tattoo. Final Thoughts I think this deck is absolutely great! The only thing is, the thicker cards make some sleights harder than others. But it's still an excellent deck of cards. OVERALL RATING - 8.5/10 The Bicycle Masters Edition Deck |

Normal bikes for me, get a dozen from costco. They last long if you have a porper card clip, Masters, well I don't really like the thick stock.

I don't really care for the thicker stock either. Makes a DL feel like a TL. I like the cards in general. But, I seem to remember the ad on E saying that one of the reasons a masters deck is better was that the printing on the back is centered perfectly. that's simply not the case. I mean..One one the masters decks I opened could have been used as a one way deck the printing was so far offset. It was a good 18 inch difference from one side to the other. I love the feel when you first open them a get them broken in a little. But that does not last long. I've just decided to stick with my regular bikes.

The effects on the DVD and lecture notes are far beyond your abilities. (They require mastery of the mechanic's grip.) It would only break your heart. Sincerely, Darwin Ortiz.......(This post has got to be in my top 5.) |

The ad says "SAVES YOU LOT OF MONEY"
I rather doubt this any feedback - a deck last me a few weeks - will this last a few months?

Ive got a couple of Masters and I take them out every once in a while. they are definitely more durable I would say, and I agree with Tim, a DL is crazy thick. Its the first time I've ever been a little self consious about it. (wierd) And you can forget about TL or 4Card L***'s... its like 7-8 cards compared to a regular bicycle...
Save money, I don't think so.... just feel nice I suppose...
...for the 51st time... that is NOT my card...

Yeah, get a deck of masters for your card collection, for regular use, the regular bikes or tally-hos are the best
