I bought a packet trick recently and the double sided tape that came with it was amazing it was completely see through and didn't damage the cards at all.
once that piece of tape was no good ever since I have been on a search for a replica piece of tape this might sound trivial but I havent been able to perform any tricks that require DS tape becaue the tape I have been able to find aren't fully transparent and are two strong and they damage the cards. where to go for some good DS tape??? thank you |

Not knowing where you are located, find an office supply store like STAPLES or Office Max and roam the tape aisle. You are looking for removable double stick tape.

You might also consider contacting the manufacturer of the packet trick and inquire if they sell replacement tape.

What trick is it?
If the tape is too strong just press it on something and peel it off until it isn't as sticky.

Have you tried 3M?

I'm assuming that you want the tape to stick very well to one card, but to be kind of tacky for another card to stick to it but be easily removed. After I apply the tape, I just push my thumb against the side facing out several times until I get the right amount of "tackiness".

If you want to get removable ones, try some cheaper stuff . . .

Scotch makes a dbl sided removable. Walmart and Staples carry it. However, it is not truly trasparent so it is best not to use it in direct lighting.
A great alternative is a product by 3M called Repositional Spray Adhesive. It comes in a brown can. Don't use it on the entire surface of the object to be sprayed. Make a stencil out of a peiceof cardboard or stiff paper. PM me is my explanation isn't clear enough. This stuff is great. dobber |

One can also buy non-permanent adhesive gluesticks (with properties like Post-It Notes). One merely applies it to a card, allows it to dry, and then the object has the tackiness of a Post-It Note. This is handy when one wants a card which can be easily separated in perfomance.
Cheers! |

There's a special glue stick made by Scotch called Restickable Clue Stick that will work like a charm..

Thanks for that info evolve...I bet the glue stick you recommend is a lot cheaper than my 3M spray.
Cycopolos opened this asking for a source to replace his gaff for a particular effect. Although some good suggestions have been made, nobody has successfully answered his question. Double Sided Removable Transparent Tape is what Cycopolos is after. I asked my wife where to get this and she said at an Arts and Crafts store such as Michaels. I don't know if she is correct or not...but I do know WalMart and Staples don't carry the transparent stuff. I also know that my wife is usually correct. She reminds me all the time. Just a thought...How about using RF instead? Would it work if it was used with a little more volume? dobber |

Try that link. If this is as advertised, it should meet our criteria. dobber |
