If I ever get this stuff, the rest of you guys can avoid the thread. I only want to hear from Margarette and Chrystal. Smile I think that's who Tom got the most benefit from as well. Smile

How about my Insomnia? 1 or 2 hours of sleep every 24...what kind of soup you got for that ladies? Maybe a Hockey stick to the back of the head...some good zzzs would be awful welcome about now.

Doug:

Insomnia - that must be a nightmare!
Sorry about that, you have my sympathy. It seems like you are the only person in the world who is awake.

Rudy:

Got the PM thank you. Seriously, it helps.

Thanks Tom...it was a bear. I got very tired of conversing with myself 23 hours a day. But suddenly...7 days a go I got a full nights sleep...and then the next night as well and so on till now...it just went away. How odd. But the computer is a great companion as much of the rest of the world is also awake! Smile

Hope you are doing well...have you been able to get a little SUN?

Tom,
You describe yourself as Manic-depressive. Because the term you use is a medical diagnosis, I am led to believe you have at some time been treated medically for this condition.
I have people who are close to me who suffer from this same condition. I know enough about it to know that the condition does not just come and go in bouts. It is managed with medication which requires constant monitoring and adjustment.
The biggest mistake people who have this type of condition make (and by far the most common)is to assume, once they have been reasonably stable for some time, that they have "gotten over it" and that they no longer need to take their medication or see their physician.
I urge you to see your doctor about this immediately. This illness can cause you to spin dangerously out of control very quickly.
This is a life long illness, like Diabetes.
Like Diabetes, it can be completely manageable, by following your medication regimen to the letter. Also like Diabetes, it can be extremely dangerous to stop your medication because you "feel OK".
You say you need help. I suggest you need to be seeking that help from a health care professional.
Woke up.
Fell out of bed.

Doug, I'm glad you are getting some sleep at last - long may it continue.

DStachowiak, I have had medical treatment for this in the past. I have been on a variety of prescribed medications but none of them had any effect.

A while ago, around 2001/2 I stopped the meds, with some advice from the doctor, and I am now managing my illness. There are just days when things get a bit much and I need "outside" help. Talking also helps - thanks for talking.

To all who have helped me - Merry Christmas and I hope that 2008 brings you all health and peace.

Tom
