This sent to me by a client:

"I don't know if you listen to an NPR show called This American Life, but they aired an episode a few weeks ago that included a story about a balloon artist.  Here's the link in case you're interested.

http://www.thisamericanlife.org/Radio_Episode.aspx?sched=1200"

Any thoughts?

This is the guy that wrote the first book on how to twist balloons that I ever bought 10 or 12 years ago. Each came with a small hand pump and balloons.

I've just recently regained an interest but I've often wondered how famous Flanders is in the balloon community. He seems kind of odd.

Thanks, the link worked.

My impression is, due to is initial financial success from his book friends distance themselves. Now his main function is to be a salesman vs. an artist/twister (his passion). Even though I'm fairly new in balloon twisting (6 years), have many videos & dvd's as well as attended two balloon conventions & a few lectures I have never heard of Mr. Flanders.

Mark I have purchased your two Bad to the Balloons dvds recently, & very impressed with your work.
