Hi,
I am putting together a self esteem/motivational show for schools and I was wondering if anyone had any good routines/ideas they might want to share? I am especialy interested in tying self esteem to anti smoking /drugs /bullying/gangs

Hey Phillip-The routine with Strat-O-Sphere ahs to do with bullying...An idea I was thinking of was im not sure what effect you could use but a patter you could use for one of them is "no matter how much the child tried and tried, he couldn't do it(you keep trying to do the maghic, but it doesn't work)...but he never gave up, he kept trying and finally got it to work (which is when you have the magic actually work)...JUst a thought-Josh
If a magician is not intending to "trick" a spectator, why is every "trick" called a magic "trick"?

Phillip,

I just got a call from Dave Risley on his new video tapes related to Self Esteem and other educational programs. Check out this link and you may find just what you are looking for.

Also, Check out Maher Studios in his Scripts and Dialog section related to vent work on Just Say No and other educational programs. You may find something there also. Look over this site it is really interesting for the kid show entertainer. If you want a specific review of a vent book I have most of the education vent books.

This is a winning area for increasing your business in the school market.

Good Luck.

There is a book by Ron Conley called Drugs, Strangers and Other Dangers, Ron Conley's complete magical say no show. It has lots of routines that use basic props and some that can be made at home.

Hi Phillip:

I was over on Steve Taylor's site, and noticed he's got some routines/props with a "Believe, Achieve, Succeed" Theme to them.

Might be something worth looking into. His website is stevetaylorpro.com
