TV Magician Almost Raped at Magic Castle Hotel

A VH1 reality show has fallen victim to crime.

TMZ has learned that a female magician -- part of an ensemble of magicians who were supposed to teach celebrities magic tricks -- was a victim of attempted rape at a landmark Hollywood hotel. The cast and crew were staying at the Magic C astle Hotel in Hollywood -- next door to the famed Magic Castle, a private club for magicians.

Police tell TMZ that yesterday at 5:35 AM, the suspect entered the victim's room, jumped on top of her and covered her mouth. The victim fought off the suspect and he lost his cellphone in the scuffle. The police came, took the cellphone and used it as a ruse to lure him to a nearby park where he was popped.

A source tells TMZ the woman won't be doing the show. As for the rest of the cast, they've moved out of the Magic Castle Hotel.

I am guessing this is the show that jeff McBride is taping?

Is this news for real? Or is it something else?

I would normally leave things quiet but everyone already seems to know at least half the story thanks to about 12 different hollywood gossip sites.

It's ALMOST accurate. I have left LA and will return to NYC soon. Thank you to everyone that has offered support, including VH1, and to my friends and family for being there...

Some of the comments that accompanied the TMZ piece were just. Some people just don't get it. "Why didn't she just disappear", "...make him disappear" and of course there's always some moron who has to say something to the effect of, "She probably provoked it"

Kudos to her for fighting him off, and I hope she recovers from the trauma soon.

Reading that has made me physically shake and feel sick. Please give the lady concerned out best MCM. I can't believe something like that has happened. At conventions it can be hard when there are few women about, but I have an amazing group of friends who keep an eye on me. They're usually more worried about me than I am. I hope this terrible incident has put her off magic. If ahe reads this I would want to know that we're all thinking about you and wish you all the best,

This story is just disgusting, sometimes the media makes me so mad. They can't knock off the dumb magic puns for two fricking seconds???

In order for them to do that they would have to exhibit a certain ammount of writing talent.
