Oh stop weeping. I was sent hear because I said the Xor wasn't good and also commented that I hoped the company that made it could some day have a success since everything I've seen of theirs was bad. So since I was jumped on for that I joined that persons anti this trick bandwagon was all. I'm sure this Eric fellow is the greatest coin man to ever walk this planet and his handling of the move to the back finger palm, for lack of a better term, is brilliant to the point that the Noble prize people are kicking themselves for not having a catagory covering coin magic.
Now do you two lil' guys have any questions or can I assume the tears are drying and you are snorting in the last bit of angst produced snot? ( don't assume I can't do it. I started doing it when I was trying to figure out a vanish done by Sigfried and Roy a couple decades ago. I don't do it well, but better than the heavenzkool crowd does it) |

Whoa... MagicSanta, that's very sad that you'd react in that way to our comments...
The people who done the X-OR just simply can't do the move, and we're just saying that if done right that it's a great move, but for you to come back with such drivel is just stupid. Im trying to say this sensibly, but really jordanjohnsan said it best. That vid is excellent, and shows how natral the move really looks. |

MagicSanta,
you're a funny guy. Your sarcastic humor reminds me of Hugh Laurie as Dr. Greg House. That show is one of my favs, but that's neither here nor there. In this particular instance, I agree with the majority of what you have to say. The move is EXTREMELY angle sensitive, which is usually a bad thing. However, the technique can and IS very deceptive, when the hands don't appear arthritic as in the X-OR vid. I for one think it looks great in my hands, some people disagree. Which brings me to someone elses opinion of the technique. Brad Henderson reviewed the DVD in the December 2007 issue of Magic and had this to say,"Making matters worse is the fact that this awful technique may not even be original. YouTube clips show one young man considered by the cognoscenti of the Internet to be a 'master' of it. If this young man's example is to be considered the pinnacle said technique can reach, then the best response once can ever hope for with it is, 'Gee, isn't it clever how he moves his hands around so much and we never see the coin.' This is NOT how laypeople should respond to a performance of magic." http://youtube.com/watch?v=iXExgfAUk5M This is the video I ASSUME Mr. Henderson stumbled across.....i'm not defending my position..just want consumers to make educated decisions. Same as Mr. Henderson. NEWAYZ...... The rest of the Henderson review is dead on concerning the DVD. Actually it gets pretty humorous at times. To a certain extent, this part is accurate as well. But people said the same thing of JW Grip that they are saying about this technique. IMHO, in the right hands, the thing looks great. But for me it's hard to stay objective when you have genuine interest in the topic of discussion so I'll just say this. If you like the technique, go out and buy the Jeff White notes( if still available) and try it out. If you like it, then upgrade by learning some of the other "advanced" techniques available. Mine, Dan Garrett's, Danny Garcia's, and if you so choose to X-OR. If this isn't your cup of tea, well that's cool too. Variety is always a good thing. Take what you need, leave the rest. Is X-OR a good product? Hell No. Is the technique worth abandoning forever? I gave my opinion, but ultimately, it's the student's decision. Happy Christmahanakwanzaakah!!!!!!!

This looks horrible. he looks like his fingers are broken trying to conceal the coin. Not a good looking trick at all in my opinion... Two Thumbs Down...
