Hi,
I am contemplating on wearing boots for my magic performance. Does anyone think that wearing these could lable me as a McBride copy? Thanks in advance. Best Brandon

Some may so yes. Only you know your intent. I try not to judge peoples motives. I wear western boots and a western style vest to perform in. The same boots that I have been wearing for twenty or more years. I have only been doing magic since 1999. I have also had facial hair since I got out of the Air Force in 1978. Do what you like don't worry what some may think ChrisG

I think it depend on the boots as well...I mean if you have the same boots, people might think you are coping more then if they are just boots.
I'm getting some spats for my shoes, I don't think many people wear them anymore, and I love 'em! Danton

Okay guys,
You got a point. They are plain knee high black boots but, I don't intend my audience to be magicians so I guess I really don't need to worry about it. Thanks guys, -Best

How many Joe citizens do you think know who Jeff McBride is???? I'm going to take a wild guess that maybe one out of 100,000 ever heard of him, and one out of every 10,000,000 know what kind of shoes he wears, so wear what ever shoe fits your stage character.
