Why is it that when a woman commits murder of her lover, kids, or other loved ones it is because she was "abused", "felt alone and had no one to turn to"(that is a quote from FOX News), "pushed to the edge", etc? Yet when a man does the same thing he is called "Monster". Why?

There are some women who murder a spouse because they are abused and they think the only way out is to snuff the mo'fo. I've no problem with snuffing guys like that. Not every woman is called abused or all that nonsense when they kill in particularly if they kill kids. Some are just mean chicks and kill for the same reason some guys do, they are just vicious.
Now a guy usually isn't subjected to abuse from a wife at the same level wifes are abused. Men tend to have jobs that pay better or are more easily able to make it on their own so they can up and leave the wife if need be. That is about it. Do you feel it is sexual harrassment to be called a monster? I'm sure someone will give you a hug. Just remember, they lock up the women just like the dudes. Hey! We have a womens prison camp here where I live....but I never get to see 'em. |

It's all about image. You really think Fox news has any integrity (let alone the Justice system)? You could be an abused husband and nobody cares. There are no men shelters (at least in my area). We live in a society that assumes abuse is different from men than it is from women. Factually what is reported is often misleading as omissions are made. Truth be know, women abuse men physically only 2% less than men. Not a big difference. The difference lies in the reporting of such incidents.
There's a reason why I don't watch the news. I like to research and find out for myself. More reliable. |

My wife is a very abusive person. She always says stuff like "No", that stuff hurts me.

While we are at it I don't care how much more the wife makes than the hubby, if they get a divorce only a pansy would accept alimony. Go get a job ya lazy SOB! Unless you are me and no one wants to hire you because you are old.

You are right....expect alimony from the woman and you are equal to a woman. I'm a man dang it!
I ain't that old Josh! They don't ask my age anyway, they just figure out the amount of experience I have and think "dang, we can get a 25 year old!". I'm telling you, I'll end up at freakin' Wallmart. |

I'm right with you. I spent 11 months looking for work in typesetting and graphic design, a field I have 20+ years experience in. The only people who gave me a response said they were looking for someone "more trainable."
...now I'm at Wal*Mart. *sob*

My X drove me nuts, I did not kill her, I never hit her, but after our seperation she started dating the next weekend, and I spent a year and a half alone trying to recover from spending 20 years with a psycho. The other side of the coin is that experience taught me how to pick a good woman.

A day later, we had house guests; with one person too many to fit inside our car ... I rode my motorcycle she didn't complain. We've been married 18 years. I've learned that time and circumstance always level the playing field. But, I cannot and do not take the bait on emotional arguments. Wasn't there a movie called "Monster?" As to the original question. I think that's how the mainstream media likes to spin it. While in college I worked with battered and abused women. When children are involved it is more common for a women to strike out. Because of outreach programs, women are exposed to options that were not as available prior to other times in our history. Still, fear can cripple reasoning and alter outcomes. Be gentle with those around you.

Mandrake, where I live the closest place that hires people is a very large Walmart distribution warehouse. There is nothing wrong working at any place, I just know if I go to the Walmart warehouse I'll have to start at the bottom again and I'm too old!
Oh, I also don't think women should be paid alimony. In fact if there are no minor children involved a divorce should be completed in an hour. |
