Invulnerability - I don't see coin and nail bending as examples of invulnerability. If you put something into a fire and it emerges unburned that is invulnerability. If you cast a spell over a drinking straw and now the strongest man can NOT bend it, that would be invulnerability. Bending something is a deomonstration of uncommon strength, or psychokinesis, or changing the properties of the coin to make it softer.
Magnetism - For some reason the blog says that magnetism is not a "Theory" because it is a scientific fact. Well, the point is that if you make a playing card magnetic that is magic because paper is not magnetic. It is exactly the same as Levitation. Things levitate all the time (airplanes, helium balloons, bubbles) but it is magic when something Levitates without a natural explanation. If you want to be absolutly clear the effects should be listed as: Unexpainable Levitation Unexplainable Magnetism Unexplainable Strength etc I don't think it is necessary to be this explicit but there is certainly no reason to leave Magnetism off the original list. |

I know some disagree they are 'theories' but it does make a lot of sense to me that these are the theories that create magic. you can study and practice each theory to master the art of magic as a whole. If you will look at your own definitions given on your blog you will see that they apply to the whole not to the parts. Music Theory is given as an example A Piano is not a Theory A Note is not a Theory A Chord is not a Theory A Song is not a Theory These are things that are dealt with within the overall Theory of Music So you have one particular Theory of Magic which contains things like Effects, Methods, Tools, etc It makes sense to discuss the possible Effects apart from Methods apart from Tools. It's just more organized. But listing them all as Theories as if theories is a catch-all term that just means "areas of discussion" is not as organized and is not using the word properly. |

Animation means making something move. (Little Man, Glorpy, dancing hank, etc.)
Invulnerability means not being able to harm an object or person.
I am getting so tired of slitting the throats of people who say that I am a violent psychopath.
