Hello All,
Wow. Just received my set of Morgan Silver Dollar coins from Mark Mason, CFWM. What can I say. Let me start at the beginning: I always wanted this set of coins. Saved up my pennies and made the plunge. Couldn't be happier. Here's some info future purchasers may find helpful: I initially had problems placing my order at http://www.jbtv.co.uk. My basket and order status said new order, yet it wasn't registering at their end. Because I'm somewhat of an obsessive/compulsive, I emailed them. Always got a prompt reply. Don't forget, it's a 5 hr time difference between North America and the UK. I also wanted all 1921 Morgans, to match my existing coins. JBTV said no way. We don't manufacture this gaff and coins that way. You're going to get different dates. Why? Because clients have mentioned that having all the gaffs and coins look identical, makes them look too gimmicky. After consideration and now receiving may set, they're absolutely right. After research here at the Café, I was aware that Mark makes three sets in Morgans. He calls them: New, Medium worn and worn. I bought the Medium worns. Good choice. That's what he uses. Beware. You won't be prompted on your preference. You'll have to email them and let them know. After my obsessive emails, Mark himself replied to me. He walked me through the order process, confirmed that it was placed at his end and PICKED THE COINS OUT HIMSELF. Yeah. Confirmed my delivery. This set was sent from the UK Sept 25th. They arrived yesterday. You can't beat that for overseas shipments. Wow. Cost me 250 pounds, which translates to $ 509.00 Canadian dollars, that includes shipping, which is 30 pounds. If any of you folks are considering buying CFWM, DO IT. You couldn't run into a more helpful, considerate, customer service oriented bunch of people than these folks. And the workmanship and routine simply rock. I'm not here to compare CFWM to U3F. Please don't start that old topic. Just thought I'd let you know that JBTV and Mark Mason are " the toppermost of the poppermost". You won't be disappointed. Jim |
