They don't seem to exist. Sorry if that seems to brutal.
Magic is doing improbable things with odd items that, under normal circumstances, would be unnessecary and quite often undesirable.

I would have to second the notion: "what business card?"

There is no special way it will have to look. You can make it with a picture of yourself in your magic outfit. You can make it with words only. If you do it with no picture, and just words, try putting a magical logo on it. It is all about what fits you mostly.

We've all heard of the ID deck, so we're now being treated to the IBC - invisible business cards. Personally though, and in total frankness, I think they suck. All rough and no smooth with this puppy.

Use paper and ink. It will show up better. Smile

Name, type of shows, contact info and website if you have one.

K.I.S.S. (Keep it stupidly simple)

Name, contact info, and have it look clean and neatly organized. True, you can get fancy (photos and such), but the client will book you for YOU - not your card.

Let me add something to my above post - I AM NOT OPPOSED TO PROFESSIONALLY DESIGNED CARDS.

My only problem with them is that many people who order them are under the false impression that fancy cards will get more business. This is absolutely untrue.

In my years of performing, I have never heard anyone ever say anything that even sounded like, "Ooo. I want to hire him for a show because his business card is so cool." People are smart enough to know that a high quality business card does not necessarily mean a high quality performance.

On the other hand, a sloppy business card can often lose business because of the impression left of disorganization. Handing someone a poorly made card with mispellins, or maybe greasy fingerprints because someone handled it with dirty hands can actually lose business.

If you DO go for the higher end card, that's fine; but do so with the knowledge that the only thing it promises is the fact that you will be spending more on cards.

If you go the cheaper way, be sure your information is clean, well-organized, complete and easily understood.
