Who perfers what?

Tall unicycle or rola bola?

For indoor performing or out. If you had to choose one or the other what would you choose?

Also when it come to the tall unicycle those who have ridden them outside in less than dry weather know that the wheel can slip out when if the ground is even slightly wet. Does anyone have any idea of a portable surface such as a rubber mat that might be good to lay on the ground in bad weather on in places where the surface is less than suitable for idling.

I don't have a good unicycle, so the only thing that I have is a rollabolla made by indoboard. (a nice big wide one)

Plus it's easier to store away when you are on the way home from a gig.

Tall unicycle all the way. Get a five or six footer. To deal with the wet conditions you could either get a knobby tire or put down a bath mat or something.

The tall uni has a lot more movement. You can ride near the audience and can create more impact that the more static rola-bola. So if you are just juggling on one I think the uni would get more reaction.

I've never had problems with the wheel slipping, maybe you just need a better tyre.

I like the rola-bola as it is easier to do combination tricks on. A chin balance on a rola-bola is easier than on a uni.

Welcome to the magic Café. There are only a few of us gravity fighters here, but we make a lot of noise.

This is about the third time you've invited Phil to the Café, Al. He's not new he just isn't as mouthy as the rest of us. However in real life...

If they have less than 20 posts I welcome them. I asked my wife and she told me that the first thing to go on me was not my memory, or my 5 ball cascade.

I enjoyed it and I got some nice feedback from guys I admire, like Guy Heathcote, Ste3void and Robin Gunney.

Will you be at BJC? or are youcruising around the world?

Nigel

How about some of you from the west side of the pond making it to the BJC? end of March so don't tell me that you are working ...
