I forgot to ask. Is there a double lift or any other sneaky moves involved with this trick? if there is, I really don't want a trick that can be easily screwed up. If there are no sneaky moves, then I will probably get it. Any one who has this trick, please reply so that I can make my decision. Smile

No sneaky moves, no sleights, no double lifts. Go for it, it's well worth the investment.

There is absolutley NO SLEIGHTS. Its almost self working too.

There are no sleights in the routine, but there are moves you will have to learn to do the routine. Also, you need audience management skills as well as basic performance skills.

To hockey,
The fact that a trick does not have any medium to difficult sleight of hand does not mean that it's truly a beginners trick. This is not self working. There is a move of dropping a card from the fan onto the table which will take some work. If you don't practice, you can definitely mess it up and expose the secret to a great trick.
If you are new to magic, and you want to learn to do some good card magic, you must understand one thing. (This idea is from Dai Vernon.) If you don't enjoy practicing, magic is not the right hobby for you.
Practice is ABSOLUTELY necessary to become competent and if you don't enjoy it, you'll never do enough of it.
I don't mean to be harsh, but I believe that to be the simple truth.

Dennis is definitely right!I always say that nothing is without sleight or technique.Because there is always sleight of heart which is the most important part for all magic. So practise is necessary to make the good effect into strongest effect.

I watched a video of the Ultimate Three Card Monte and was blown away by it. After watching the video over and over again, I finally figured out how the trick is done. I am definitely going to buy it. Kudos to the inventor, Michael Skinner, for creating this great illusion.

I agree with Mr. Loomis. I think that smoothness, timing, and patter, all matter with this illusion, as they do with most illusions. The magician I saw in the video was very good. I think if I saw a less capable magician perform this, I would have figured it out in fewer viewings.

The video I saw is available for online viewing through an online magic store. They didn’t list the name of the performer. I do not believe the Café rules allow me to list the store URL here.
Humans make life so interesting. Do you know that in a universe so full of wonders, they have managed to create boredom. Quite astonishing.

Just for the record: Mike Skinner's "Ultimate Three-Card Monte" is actually Eddie Taytelbaum's "Find the Ace" from Dai Vernon's Ultimate Secrets of Card Magic (written by Lewis Ganson) and that routine is a finessed version of DeLand's "Pickitout" from about 1910!
